Insurance and Payment Information
Other than Triwest and VA’s Community Care Network, I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide monthly superbills for clients who wish to pursue reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to better understand your coverage, as reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.
If you plan to utilize out-of-network benefits, please let me know prior to or during your initial session so we can review the process and ensure you have the information needed to submit an out of network claim.
What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a detailed receipt for services rendered, which includes the clinical and billing information required by insurance companies. Clients may submit this document directly to their insurer to request reimbursement for eligible services.
How to Check Out of Network (OON) Benefits
Call the number on the back of your insurance card.
Ask if you have OON benefits for mental health.
If so, find out what percentage of the cost they’ll reimburse.
Ask if you need to meet the deductible first and what that amount is.
Ask the best way to submit a superbill.
